Taiwan Top 10 Global Brands
The brand valuation methodology used in assessing Taiwan’s international brands is the same one used for Business Week magazine’s “Top 100 Global Brands” -- the brand valuation model developed by the British consulting firm, Interbrand. This model uses quantitative financial analysis and qualitative indicator analysis to rank Taiwan brands.
- March 29 (Wed): The Taiwan global brand valuation methodology was decided according to the resolution of the Taiwan global brand valuation committee. TAITRA conducted the study in cooperation with Interbrand and other partners. Preliminary and secondary data screenings were conducted to determine top brand nominees, after which an explanatory meeting convened for the nominees.
- July 19 (Wed) 14:00-16:20: The 55 nominees attended the meeting for Top Brand Nominees at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), Conference Room 103.
- September 20 (Wed): Names of the top 20 finalists were announced through a press release on “The 2006 Taiwan Top 10 Global Brands.”
- September 27 (Wed), 18:30-21:00: The “Brand Night” celebration for the winners of the Taiwan Top 10 Global Brands, Emerging Brands and Rising Stars. A banquet was held in recognition of the outstanding performance of the Taiwan Top 10 Global Brands with special guests from the government and industry sectors. This aided in extending the publicity of these top ten companies. Exclusive press coverage was also made for the event.
