Birdy
Founded in 1980, Pacific Cycles has been putting much emphasis on innovation and R&D, focusing on the niche markets at the top end of the consumer pyramid. Besides having secured a substantial share of the high-end folding bike markets in Europe and Japan, the Birdy brand has also frequently been the top selling brand in a given year in Japan, Germany, the U.K. and The Netherlands. By leveraging its outstanding product development capabilities, the company has been able to penetrate on the most expensive 4% to 5% of the bicycle market. Birdy has established itself as a dominant player in the production and sales of high-end folding bicycles priced at a range from US$1,300 to US$3,300.
 

GoNav
SUPA Technology was established in 1989. Two years ago, the company launched the GoNav brand in Taiwan. Using the slogan "Find your way around easily in Taiwan, China, or any other part of the world," SUPA has achieved great success in its development of the GPS market, and its products have attracted widespread interest. With its advanced in-car electronics technology and outstanding structural design, SUPA has established itself as a world-class manufacturer of GPS equipment. SUPA's in-car navigation devices have been awarded Five Stars by the European GPS Association. SUPA has production facilities and sales offices in Taiwan, China, the US and Europe. The GoNav brand ranks third in Taiwan in terms of market share.
 

LION
Chun Yu, which has been in existence for 59 years, remains dedicated to a business philosophy that emphasizes on “creation, benefits, service.” Because its Lion brand screws are marketed all over the world, Chun Yu has been honored by the Taiwanese government for its outstanding export performance for several years in a row. Chun Yu has adopted a strategy of diversification; besides screws, it also manufactures nuts, hexagon socket screws, grinding bars, etc. In the Taiwan market, Chun Yu holds a market share of 70%. Chun Yu's products have been used in major international construction projects such as the Taipei 101 building, the facilities for the Beijing Olympics, and high speed railway and mass rapid transit system construction. Chun Yu's Lion brand products are also found in homes, in computers and home appliances.
 

GINTECH
Established in 2005, Gintech Energy Corporation is animated by a powerful sense of mission to protect the planet through the development of environmentally friendly energy sources. Within a very short space of time, Gintech succeeded in beginning the production of solar cells with high yield rate and high conversion ratio, leapfrogging over the competition at an amazing speed. Gintech continues to work actively to improve the quality and performance of its products. It supplies high-quality crystalline silicon solar cells to major international solar cell module manufacturers. Today, Gintech is the leading player in the Taiwanese photovoltaics industry. Gintech markets its products in Germany, Spain, Italy, the US, Japan, China, India, South Korea, and many other parts of the world; over 95% of the company's output is exported.
 

Carnation
Established in 1969, Carnation was the first company in Taiwan to move into the production of sanitary products for women. In 1971, Kang Na Hsiung became the first Taiwanese company to begin production of sanitary towels, which were marketed under the Carnation brand; Carnation played a leading role in the development of the sanitary towel market in Taiwan. Over the period from 1999 to 2007, Kang Na Hsiung ranked among the Top 40 manufacturers of non-woven fabrics in the international non-woven fabric manufacturer rankings published by specialist U.S. non-woven fabric trade journal Nonwoven Industry.
 

TICON
Founded in 1986, St. Shine Optical started out as a manufacturer of traditional lathed contact lenses, before expanding into disposable contact lenses, which have now established themselves as the mainstream contact lens type worldwide. St. Shine Optical has focused on building up its Ticon brand; the company's first-class production facilities enable it to maintain high quality standards and meet customers' demands for tailor-made products. Ticon's market share has risen steadily, and the company has been able to build strong, lasting relationships with its customers. Ticon is currently the leading disposable content lens brand in Taiwan, and ranks number five in the global markets.
 

EverFocus
EverFocus Electronics was founded in 1995. Since then, the company has worked steadily to develop its EverFocus brand, specializing in the development, manufacturing and marketing of digital video processing equipment. EverFocus markets its products – which offer first-class quality at reasonable prices – all over the world, and has become a truly international brand. In the digital video recorder market, EverFocus ranked second in Taiwan in 2006 in terms of market share. International security monitoring journal included EverFocus in its list of the 20 leading global brands, and the company was also included in a similar list of the top 25 global brands published by ASMAG magazine in 2007.
 

EVERLIGHT
Founded in 1983, Everlight Electronics has played a crucial role in the development of the Taiwanese LED (Light Emitting Diode) industry. Everlight is currently the leading LED assembly firm in Taiwan, having secured the highest market share in the industry in 2006, and maintained that status in 2007. In the global market, Everlight ranks seventh in the world, despite fierce competition from leading European, US, and Japanese corporations.
 

KWorld
KWorld Computer was established in 1999, and listed on Taiwan's OTC exchange in 2008. It is one of the youngest multimedia and video product vendors in Taiwan, but also one of the largest. KWorld markets its products in over 50 countries; it ranks third in the world in the own-brand TV USB stick market, with a global market share of around 5% to 10%. In the future, KWorld will continue to focus on the development of new products and technologies, on strengthening quality assurance, and on achieving closer integration between product development and marketing, supplying customers throughout the world with multimedia entertainment product total solutions.
 

eclatorq
Taiwan's first specialist manufacturer of digital hand tools, Eclatorq is a joint-venture company established by 11 Taiwanese hand tool vendors: Re-Dai, K&W Tools, J&K International, Hanstool, Savco, Proxene, Tung Li, Infar, William Tools, Quinn, and YC Tools. The technology that Eclatorq uses to manufacture its digital hand tools was developed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and transferred to Eclatorq in 2006. The company's main product lines include digital torque wrenches, digital screwdrivers, and digital chest expanders. The 11 companies that joined forces to establish Eclatorq are now marketing their products worldwide under the eclatorQ brand.
